Texas Tech medical students Daniel Patterson, left, and Sandra Vexler, right, reacted after opening their letters telling them where they will do their residencies during a Match Day event at the Double Tree Hotel Friday. Patterson learned he will go to Einstein-Motefiore Medical Center in New York, New York while Vexler will stay in El Paso. Both students will work in Psychiatry. Patterson said the destination was his second choice but was nontheless "thrilled" while Vexler said El Paso was "abosolutely my first choice."
