Northwestern will begin preparations for the Vitalis Sun Bowl game Dec. 30 against UCLA. The team was greeted with mariachi musicians and dancers.

UCLA offensive lineman Philip Rauscher, 56, presented a commemorative team football to 14-month-old Natalie Resendiz with her great grandmother, Magdalena Delgado outside her room on the 7th floor of Thomason Hospital during a team visit Thursday.  In keeping with Sun Bowl tradition, a team visits the pediatric unit of the hospital prior to the game.  Trini Acevedo, pediatric activities coordinator for Thomason Hospital, said the teams who have visited the hospital have won the Sun Bowl game the past five consecutive years.
