Congratulations Clarissa Breanne Martinez-Cottman		Clarissa Breanne Martinez-Cottman received a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and Multi-Disciplinary studies, with minors in History and English from Texas Tech University, in Lubbock, Texas.  She was also on the Dean’s list.  She is a Delta Gamma Fraternity alumni; where she served as director of alumni relations and served as a Rho Gamma for the Fraternity.  Clarissa will continue her graduate studies at Texas Tech University, where she will pursue a Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology.  Her proud parents are Patrick and Catherine Cottman and BR Martinez.  Grandparents are Clorinda (Robert) Castaneda and Ronald and Virginia Cottman, all of EL Paso, Texas.

Happy 40th Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Micheal Mullin!	 Micheal and Patricia were united in marriage June 4, 1971. Through faith, dedication, and undying love, we are delighted to celebrate with them forty years of marriage. The former Patricia Mae McCoy, is the daughter of Hurl and Florine McCoy of Lockney, TX. Micheal Gene Mullin is the son of Billy Joe and Jimmie Sue Mullin of Turkey, TX. The couple was blessed with the birth of three daughters: Amy Michelle, Lisa Ann, and Krystal Jean. They are the proud grandparents of Michael Allen Gattis, Tristin Cleigh Gattis, Madallen Belle Gattis, Tyler Jet Sander, Jacob David Sander, Courtney Kathleen Sander, and Nadia Patrice Rodriguez. CONGRATULATIONS		VALLEY VIEW MIDDLE SCHOOL BANDUnder the Direction of Robby Melendez, Marissa Gamez and John Scanlon performed at the Lone Star Showcase of Music Festival in San Antonio, TX on May 14th. The band competed in two categories, a combined concert/symphonic band and Honor Band. The combined concert/symphonic band received a first division rating and third place overall. The Honor band received a first division rating and first place overall (Best in Class). The band also went to the Hard Rock Café, Sea World, and Six Flags Fiesta Texas. The directors would like to thank Mrs. Catherine Kennedy and Mrs. Maria Gaytan, administrators at Valley View for all their support. Special thanks to all the band parents for their hard work with fund raising to make this trip a success and to the chaperones who attendee the trip for all of their tireless work!

Wedding  McQueen/Curl		Melissa Squires McQueen and Matthew Ryan Curl were married on the evening of January 22, 2011 at the Church of St. Clement.  They are native El Pasoans, the children of proud parents Margaret and Mike McQueen and Kathleen and Steve Curl.  Reverend Ron Thompson performed the ceremony, just as he had previously for the bride's parents, twenty-eight years earlier.  The bride's sister, Molly McQueen, and best friend, Traci Adkins, served as co-maids of honor.  Bridesmaids were college friends Margery Lynn, Samantha Strong, Jennifer Kucera, and Halle Smith. The groom's brother, Charles Curl, and best friend, Matt Doka, served as co-best men, and groomsmen included James Curl, Bailey Harrington, J.R. Cox, and Nick Larson, all from El Paso. The honorary best man was Steve Tarpley who is bravely serving our country in Afghanistan. The house party included Alison Flinn, Lindsey Roskopf and Beth Squires, and ushers were Greg Caldwell and Chaz Darling.  Melissa's cousin, Megan McQueen, sang The Lord's Prayer.  A fabulous dinner and dancing reception at the El Paso Country Club followed the ceremony, highlighted by The Pictures band from Austin. The newlyweds are now back from their honeymoon, enjoying married life and a new home in Dallas.
