Mr. & Mrs. Mario F. Talamantes of El Paso, TX are pleased to announce the wedding of their daughter Gloria E. Talamantes to Christopher H. DuBois son of Mr. & Mrs. John DuBois of Albany, NY. The wedding was held on June 5th, 2010 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church at Boston College, the reception was held at the Hyatt Harborside Hotel in Boston. Gloria is a 1997 graduate of Loretto Academy and earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology form Boston College. She is employed by Acadian Asset Management as a Sr. Investment Operations Specialist. Chris is a graduate of Shaker High School and earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing & Management from Siena College and an MBA from S.U.N.Y. in Albany, NY. He is employed by Vertis Communications as a Client Support Engineer. The couple honeymooned in Moorea and Bora Bora, French Polynesia and reside in Charleston, MA.

Drs. William and Shanta Chamberlin of El Paso are pleased to announce the engagement of their son Dr. Michael Mann Chamberlin, to Sheena Eagan, daughter of Dr. Paul and Lynda Eagan of Ottawa, Canada. Michael is a 2001 graduate of Franklin High School in El Paso and a 2006 graduate of Texas A&M University at College Station with a Bachelor of Arts and a Physics Major. He then joined the Army and graduated from USUHS Medical School in Bethesda, Maryland in 2010. He is presently a first year resident in Internal Medicine at Brooke Army Medical Center, San Antonio, Texas, Sheena is a graduate from Leo Hayes High School in Frederiction, New Brunswick, Canada. She completed her Masters in Public Health at USUHS, Bethesda and is currently a Doctorial student UTMB, Galveston. The happy couple will exchange vows on October 2011, somewhere in Texas.

Congratulations to our parents, Benjamin and Ursula Ortiz, who celebrated their 50th wedding Anniversary September 16, 2010 in Nurnberg, Germany. They visited family and renewed their vows at Ursula’s childhood church. In 1957 Benjamin met Ursula while serving in the Army stationed in Germany. After a four year courtship they married in 1960. Although from two separate and distinct cultures (Puerto Rican and German), their diverse backgrounds and language challenges did not stop their passion for one another. They relocated to Ft. Meade, Maryland and returned to Germany before finally settling in El Paso. They have four children who are extremely proud of them. We celebrate their marriage and look back with fond memories filled with great food, laughter, and good times! Happy 50th Anniversary Mom and Dad!!! May God continue to bless you both. With love your children, Roberto, Iris, Alfredo, Carmen, their spouses and grandchildren.

Lindsay Simalee Schell and Brandon Sean Lane were married May 1, 2010 at Ardovino’s Desert Crossing in Sunland Park, New Mexico. Lindsay is the daughter of Kay Annette Brooke of El Paso, Texas. Brandon is the son of Phillip & Floy Ana Lane of Alto, New Mexico. Brandon and Lindsay are at home in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, after their honeymoon in Ireland.
