Students from Hillside Elementary School's Deaf Education Regional Day School Program put Hansel and Gretel on trial Friday. The sweet-loving, fairy-tale duo were accused of eating the home of Ms. Gonzalez - which was made of candy. The mock trial took place in 243rd District Court, Judge David C. Guaderrama's courtroom. Guaderrama held court for the 15th year in a row. Students from Burges High School both prosecuted and defended the duo. After testimony and evidence, Hansel and Gretel were found guilty.
